CFYC 2012 Cruising Update #0 as of Jan 14, 2012

Cruisers, passengers, members. It's that time of the year to start the thinking process of just where we want to cruise this year.

In 2011 we went to:

·        Bald Head Island April 8-10

·        Oriental, New Bern and Beaufort July 29 - Aug 7

·        Grand Dunes, September 9 - 11

·        Full Moon Cruise to Wilmington, Oct 14

·        Wrightsville Beach,  Flotilla of Lights - Nov 26-27

In 2010 we went to:

·        Bald Head Island April 23-25,

·        Wilmington May 14 - 16

·        Charleston June 10-12

·        Beaufort, NC - August 19-20-21-22

·        Grand Dunes - Sept 10-12

In 2009 we went to:

·        Bald Head Island April 3-5,

·        Wilmington May 15 - 17

·        Ocracoke June 5-13

·        Wacca Wache September 10 - 13,

·        Grand Dunes, SC October 23-25

Where shall we go in 2012? Put on your thinking caps and let me know. It can certainly be some of the past locations. We always seem to start off with Bald Head and eventually hit Wilmington and Grand Dunes. Should we again schedule these locations and then some others?  What about the Long Trip, where should we go? Last year we went north so a good direction this year would be south. Who will be our Captains for these trips? I've done the long trip for the last 3 years. It's someone else's turn to plan it and I'll take on one of the short cruises.

A suggestion given at yesterday's brunch was a trip to either Jacksonville or Washington, both a one day cruise from here.

Please reply with all your suggestions as to where to go, and indicate which cruise you would help plan, especially the long one.
