CFYC GOLF TOURNAMENT
For the past several years The Cape Fear Yacht Club has successfully provided Sailing Instructions to many of our local children ages 8 to 14.This past season the Oak Island Parks and Recreation Dept. joined our team with their support of our program. The ultimate plan for the program is to eventually have students who become skilled sailors to compete on a scholastic level against other Coastal High School and Middle School Sailing Teams.
It all cost money! This year CFYC sponsored its First Golf Tournament at the Oak Island Golf Club on October 26, 2009. "Teach them "Leadership, Sportsmanship & Competitiveness"
International Night 2009 Clue in the Bermuda Triangle
CLICK ON PICTURE TO VIEW THE REST! The mystery was solved!!! Mrs. Peacock did it, in the Main Salon with the rope! Stewart McDaniel had the winning combination and won the grand prize of $100! Stewart was Alfred Hitchcock & Lynn was Teppy Hedrin from The Birds . Guess those birds got lost in the Triangle! The best costumes went to Ina Landkamer, for the "victim returns", Terry Beers for Colonel Mustard and Linda Tatro for "The Black Dalia.
Some of the pictures are now posted on the Gallery! Look for Abby from NCIS, The Closer, a lost aviator in the Bermuda Triangle, Holly Golightly, Sherlock Holmes and a host of other wierd characters. Thanks to our Clue characters Miss Scarlet (she sure got around), Prof. Plum, Mr. Green, Col. Mustard, Mrs. White and Mrs. Peacock who is now serving time with Professor Plum! Commodore Boddy is glad you enjoyed an evening at the Bermuda Triangle Yacht Club and solved the mystery of "who done it" to Mrs. Boddy!
